The Forgotten Questions
Thank you for visiting this site. What you will find here is not a system of belief, nor an attempt to persuade, convert, or mystify, but a sincere effort to place before you certain enduring principles and observations that have profoundly shaped my life and understanding.
At the heart of this work stands Kabbalah, though insight will be drawn from philosophy, science, religion, literature, music, and the reflections of great thinkers throughout the ages, all serving to illuminate the central principles explored herein. For every field of human endeavour, discovery, and enquiry, when pursued deeply enough, points beyond its own boundaries toward something far greater than itself, a deeper truth woven into the very fabric of existence. Whether through the observations of science, the reflections of philosophy, the insights of religion, the beauty of art, the power of music, or the accumulated wisdom of countless generations, humanity has always been reaching toward the same hidden reality, though often without fully recognising it.
No single discipline, race, creed, culture, tradition or field of enquiry possesses the whole truth. Each carries within it a fragment, a spark, a partial glimpse of a greater picture whose full outline remains concealed. For this reason, nothing of genuine value should be dismissed merely because it arises from a different source or speaks in a different way. The history of civilisation is, in many respects, the history of this search, an unending effort to understand the laws that govern life, consciousness, nature, and existence itself.
The scientist examining the workings of the cosmos, the philosopher wrestling with abstract principles, the artist striving to express the inexpressible, the mystic seeking what lies beyond appearances, and the ordinary person reflecting upon the lessons of life are all, knowingly or unknowingly, travelling along the same great road. Their methods may differ, their conclusions may appear to conflict, and their languages may seem worlds apart, yet beneath these outward distinctions lies a common impulse: tthe desire to uncover the truth of existence and our place within it.
For all the knowledge accumulated by humanity, from the earliest civilisations to the present day, converges upon the same fundamental questions. Who are we? What is the nature of reality? Why do we exist? What force stands behind the order, beauty, struggle, and purpose woven throughout life? The paths are many, but the destination is one. The fragments are countless, but the truth they seek is indivisible. The great tragedy is not that humanity has searched in so many different directions, but that it has so rarely recognised that these directions are, in their deepest sense, leading toward the same horizon.
Modern life has distanced man from ancient and abiding principles, and much has been forgotten along the way or buried beneath noise, distraction, and the growing assumption that reality consists only of what can be measured, weighed, or observed. Yet beneath this restless surface, the deeper questions remain as alive as they have ever been ‘What underlies life itself? What animates nature, consciousness, and the strange forward movement of existence? What drives all things onward, and what is our place within it?‘ These are among the oldest questions humanity has ever asked, and thus far they have not been answered, only forgotten, and so too has the most profound question of all: ‘who am I? and, what is my purpose?‘
Much misunderstanding has arisen around the countless ancient traditions and beliefs, giving rise to endless conflict that is as needless as it is persistent. In truth, many of these traditions speak of the same enduring principles, through different languages, cultures, story and tale, yet they all point toward the same horizon. Much of what is shared here may already feel strangely familiar, not because it belongs to any one people or doctrine, but because certain truths surface again and again wherever mankind has searched for meaning with genuine sincerity.
This site sets out to revisit those questions plainly and honestly as for all our advancement, we still perceive only a fraction of the greater whole. Science, art, religion, philosophy, and the long accumulation of human knowledge, innovation, advancement, and invention reveal only passing glimpses of an underlying reality that exceeds the reach of any single field, and what we call understanding is still only the beginning, with much remaining obscure and much still lying beyond the present horizon of the human race. It is toward that greater horizon that Kabbalah has always sought to direct mankind, not away from life, but deeper into it.
The principles explored here are timeless, recurring throughout history in different forms and through entirely different people, and once recognised, they begin to appear everywhere. Take from this only what rings true within you and leave the rest aside. Truth cannot be forced upon anyone before its time, yet if these pages encourage even a deeper reflection upon life, nature, and humanity’s place within the vastness of existence, they will have served their purpose. So let the good hand take this and give it to whoever is seeking.
